Antihistamines for allergy shiners
Limited evidenceWhere hay fever or dust mite allergy is driving it, controlling the allergy does more than any eye cream. It removes the itch that causes the rubbing, and it clears the congestion that slows drainage from the veins under the eye. A daily non-drowsy antihistamine, and a steroid nasal spray in season, are the usual combination. This is the single most effective thing for children with dark circles.
