Profhilo vs Rejuran
Profhilo is better for skin that looks dry, dull or slightly loose. It is a hyaluronic acid gel that spreads under the skin to hydrate and mildly firm it, given as two visits a month apart. Rejuran is better for rough texture, fine lines, shallow acne scars and skin that is thin or easily irritated. It uses polynucleotides, which are fragments of salmon DNA, and runs as three visits. Both are courses rather than one appointment, and both are repeated once or twice a year.

A serum is not a weaker version
A hyaluronic acid serum holds water in the top layer for a few hours. Profhilo is placed a few millimetres down, where collagen lives.
Rejuran
Salmon DNA serums are a different thing
PDRN creams and ampoules exist and feel pleasant. Injected polynucleotides are placed inside the skin, which a cream cannot do.

Rejuran is aimed at the surface itself. It is chosen for skin that is rough, marked or reactive rather than skin that has lost tone. People often pick it for shallow acne scarring and enlarged pores.

Which should I get first, Profhilo or Rejuran?
Start with the one aimed at your main complaint. Dry, dull, slightly loose skin points to Profhilo. Rough texture, fine lines or shallow acne scars point to Rejuran.
Can you have Profhilo and Rejuran together?
Clinics do offer both, usually at separate visits. There is no evidence the pair works better than either alone, so weigh it against the extra cost.
Which one hurts more?
Rejuran, mostly because there are far more injection points. Profhilo is around ten quick stings on each side. Both are done with numbing cream and both leave small bumps for a day or two.
How long do the results last?
Both are usually quoted at six to twelve months. Neither is permanent, and skin drifts back to how it was if you stop.
Will either one lift my face?
No. Profhilo gives mild firming at best and Rejuran gives none. Loose skin and lost volume need a different category of treatment.
Are they available in the United States?
Neither is approved in the US for these uses, though some clinics offer them. Most published experience comes from Europe and Korea.
