Trisculpt vs AirSculpt

These are the same operation under two brand names. Both are laser-assisted liposuction: you are awake, numbed with local anaesthetic, and fat is loosened with a laser and drawn out through a small opening. TriSculpt is the Sono Bello name and AirSculpt is the Elite Body Sculpture name. AirSculpt is usually the more expensive of the two. Neither is a non-invasive treatment, whatever the brochure suggests, so choose on the surgeon in front of you rather than the word on the door.

Common questions

Questions Patients Ask

What is the difference between TriSculpt and AirSculpt?

Mostly the brand. TriSculpt is Sono Bello's name for laser-assisted liposuction and AirSculpt is Elite Body Sculpture's. Both are done awake under local anaesthetic, and AirSculpt usually costs more.

Is AirSculpt surgery?

Yes. Fat is removed through a small opening using a device placed under the skin. A tiny entry point does not make it non-surgical.

Are you awake for both?

Yes. Both are done with local anaesthetic, usually with something to help you relax, rather than a general anaesthetic.

How long is the recovery?

Both are marketed as a couple of days back to light activity. Expect swelling, bruising and a compression garment for several weeks either way.

Will either one tighten loose skin?

Not by itself. Both chains sell a separate skin-tightening step, and skin that hangs in a fold needs a tummy tuck.

Which one gives better results?

No independent comparison exists. The person operating on you matters more than the brand name, so ask about the surgeon and their photos of your area.
